Clean and Renewable Energy in Carrizozo

Governor Bill Richarson has set forth the goal of New Mexico becoming the nations leader in clean and renewable energy. In the recently released Green Jobs Guidebook, five goals are stated

  1. Be the Leader in Renewable Energy Exports
  2. Be the Center of the North American Solar Industry- Make New Mexico the "Solar Valley" of the U. S.
  3. Lead the Nation in Green Grid Innovation
  4. Be a Center of Excellence for Green Building and Energy Efficiency
  5. Have a Highly Skilled and Ready-to-Work Workforce

Carrizozo fully supports these goals and is working toward a greater use of clean and renewable energy both at the municipal and individual levels.
