Monthly Business Meeting

July 9th at 5:15pm at Carrizozo Works Office (located on corner of Central and Hwy 54(south)in Carrizozo.

 

Grand Opening

June 29th at 10am at the Lone Star Plumbing on Hwy 380 and E Ave owned by Eddie & Hilde Lomax. We will also celebrate the Lunch Wagon owned by Vickie & Ray Hughes and they will be serving food.

 

Community Event

Celebrate the 4th of July in Carrizozo at Valle del Sol Park on Hwy 380. Live music by Paul Pino & the Tone Daddies at 4pm. Brisket dinner from 5pm to 8pm. Tickets are $7 in advance and $8 at the gate. Kids meal is $5 under 12 years. Fireworks display by the Carrizozo Volunteer Fire Department. Advance ticket sales at Otero Electric, Carrizo Mtn. Hardware, The Caboose and many chamber volunteers. Support the Luminaria Fund and many Chamber events.

 

Hot Topics/Hot Coffee

Thursday, June 20 at 7:30 AM at the Carrizozo Heritage Museum. The speaker is Ms. Aimee Bennett of the Lincoln County Public Health Office. Ms. Bennett will address current and future healthcare issues in Lincoln County. Everyone is invited.

 

Visitors Center

Local musician Gwendolyn Watson will play her cello while she greets visitors at the Caboose. June dates are the 8, 13, 22 and 27.

Alli's Salon is showcased. Visit Alli Waggoner on Monday, July 15th from 5:15 to 6:15pm. Her salon is at 1202 E Avenue (next to Roy's). Great hair products

Carrizozo has a number of art galleries and antique shops as well. Check out Gallery 408 on historic 12th St. as well as Fortelny Fine Art. And if you are spending a few nights the Sands Motel is one of three in Carrizozo and Carrizozo Market on Cental Ave satifies our grocery needs.

Carrizozo also has many business opportunities. With its unique location at the cross roads of two major highways in the state, railroad with sidings, an airport with small jet capabilities, and an industrial park, starting or relocating a business here has many advantages.
